With a total of more than 300 years of personal experience in advising companies on the capital market and assisting with transactions in a wide range of investment banking areas, we have the knowledge required to make any company more successful on the stock market. Our team acts together as a well-rehearsed unit — the majority of our team has been working together for over twenty years. During this time, we have advised on more than 300 capital market transactions, including over 40 IPOs, more than 30 bond issues, numerous listing procedures, and share placements in connection with capital increases and reallocations of existing shares.
Markus Brosowski
Corporate Actions & Documentation
Mr. Brosowski studied business administration with a focus on banking business administration, accounting and controlling. During his studies he completed several internships with financial services institutions. Most recently he worked for a listed private equity company.
Mr. Brosowski joined BankM in February 2010.
Peter Sang
Corporate Trading
As an authorized stock exchange trader, Peter Sang has over twenty-five years of experience in the areas of securities trading and securities settlement. As a well-known expert in the German-speaking region, he is the partner of listed medium-sized companies at the capital market. At BankM, Mr. Sang is responsible for Designated Sponsoring and trading. He completed a course within the framework of the DVFA capital market program, which he successfully completed with the professional exam as a “Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA)”.
Prior to founding BankM in 2007, Mr. Sang worked for eight years at a German listed securities trading bank with a focus on small and medium-sized companies, where he was lead broker, market maker, designated sponsor and stock trader on the floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. At that bank he was responsible for setting up the designated sponsoring unit and overseeing more than 100 national and international small and mid-cap client companies. He was also responsible for post-IPO monitoring and liquidity provision. Prior to this, he worked for a public credit institution in the fields of securities settlement, securities advisory services and portfolio management.
Thomas Stewens
Corporate Strategy & Communication
With more than twenty years experience of equity transactions in various areas of investment banking (M&A, public offerings, SPO, private equity, PIPEs), Thomas Stewens is familiar with the capital market needs of companies and investors. Before founding BankM in 2007, he was a member of the management board of a listed German securities bank specialising in the SME sector for six years, where he was responsible for Corporate Finance transactions.
Before that he worked for a major German bank, where he successfully built up an investment banking unit to serve Central Europe. During this period, he successfully assisted in more than 60 equity transactions of varying sizes from EUR 2-120 million.
Dirk Blumhoff
Corporate Project Management
Dirk Blumhoff’s previous experience before the foundation of BankM in 2007 includes eight years at a listed German securities bank serving the needs of small and mid-cap firms, where he held a managerial position within Corporate Finance. His responsibilities included a wide range of successful equity transactions, mainly in the technology and health care sectors, including working with both investors and companies.
Before that he was employed by a firm of auditors where he was responsible for pre-IPO financial due diligence. Other areas of responsibility included evaluating compensation claims relating to the reprivatisation of companies in former East Germany and assessing the restructuring of such companies.
Andreas Roth
Corporate Actions & Documentation
Before founding BankM in 2007, Andreas Roth has been involved in more than 50 successful capital market transactions (public offerings, SPOs, etc.) since 1999 at a listed German securities bank serving the needs of SME’s. At that bank he was in charge of the Transaction and Documentation units.
Before that, he worked for a number of years as an M&A advisor at a leading German bank. Andreas Roth started his career with a leading American bank, where he gained his initial experience of the securities business.
Dominik Glier
Corporate Markets
Dominik Glier has been advising small and medium-sized companies for almost twenty years and knows how companies build good relationships with their investors in the capital markets. Since graduating in business administration and before founding BankM in 2007, he has been involved in several successful equity transactions, including private equity and IPOs, as a member of the corporate finance team of a listed German securities bank specializing in SMEs.
Prior to that, he worked in marketing for German subsidiaries of international companies in the telecommunications and IT industries as well as for a medium-sized German trading company.
Ralf Hellfritsch
Corporate Project Management
Ralf Hellfritsch has worked in Corporate Finance since 1990. Having worked for a leading international firm of auditors and a major German bank, where he was head of M&A, he joined a listed German securities bank specialising in the needs of the SME sector in 1998 to help build an Equity Capital Markets unit. He became head of this unit in 2002.
Already during this period and before the foundation of BankM, he was involved in more than 80 successful transactions (public offerings, SPOs, M&As, private equity, PIPEs) with volumes varying from EUR 2-500 million. Ralf Hellfritsch has extensive experience of serving the needs of small and mid-cap companies and capital market investors.
Since 2023, he has been a consultant for BankM in the area of project management.
Ziyun Wang
Corporate Markets
Ziyun Wang studied business administration in China and Germany with a focus on accounting and international economics. After completing her studies, Ms. Wang gained experience in various international corporations and public institutions where she intensified her technical qualifications as well as her intercultural know-how.
Ms. Wang joined BankM’s team in October 2014.
Axel Rose
Corporate Actions & Documentation
Mr. Rose qualified as bank clerk before studying economics in Frankfurt and Southampton with a focus on international economics and finance. After receiving his degree, he worked two years as an analyst for a M&A-Boutique specializing in transactions of small and medium sized companies. Most recently he worked as a financial editor for a specialist publisher belonging to the F.A.Z. group where he was responsible for the finance desk of a leading German business magazine.
Since July 2013, Mr. Rose is part of the Corporate Actions & Documentations team at BankM.
Claudia Preß
Corporate Services & IT
After finishing her studies in computer science, Claudia Press had been working in computer science at a research institute in the field of system administration and development of industrial projects.
Previously, Ms. Press collected experience in business processes, organization and IT during her training as an industrial clerk in a leading engineering company.
Ms. Press joined BankM’s Team in June 2007 and takes care of Corporate Services & IT.
Markus Knoss
Business Development DACH
Mr. Knoss has many years of experience in various management positions in equity trading, sales trading and portfolio management. As a recognized expert on small cap stocks in the German-speaking world, he is the link of listed medium-sized companies to their investors. Markus Knoss also is a licensed stock broker and Certified Investor Relations Officer.
He joined BankM in February 2013 and is responsible for Business Development in the German-speaking regions Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GAS).
Harald Rudolph
Corporate Trading / Corporate Markets
Mr. Rudolph has many years of experience as Institutional Sales, Salestrader and Proprietary Trader with a focus on equities at international banks and brokerage houses. He likes to share his enthusiasm for small & mid caps, innovative companies and hidden champions with interested contacts and investors in Germany and abroad. Mr. Rudolph is a licensed stockbroker and worked for BankM once before from 2009-2013. Since the end of 2020 he brings his experience back to the team.
Stefan Krewinkel
Corporate Markets
After completing his training as a banker, Mr. Krewinkel qualified as a “Certified European Financial Analyst” (CEFA). After being responsible for the ‘Regulated Market’ on the trading desk of a major German bank, he became head of the then ‘Neuer Markt’ division later in his career. He then remained loyal to second-line stocks and worked for several niche brokers in Frankfurt, where he accompanied the rise of SME bonds in the middle of the last decade and learned the essence of the bond market, also through intensive discussions with corporate finance departments and clients.
At the beginning of this decade, he then decided to take a new direction in his professional career and bring his market experience to a FinTech start-up. In spring 2024, he joined the BankM team, where he is now responsible in particular for issues relating to capital market financing for young and fast-growing companies.
Niklas Kunert
Corporate Markets
Niklas Kunert completed his apprenticeship at a private bank, where he subsequently worked as an investment advisor. This was followed by a stay abroad at Kaplan International in Australia and a degree in business administration with a focus on internal accounting. During his studies, he gained experience in M&A, private equity and debt advisory through internships at various renowned companies. Following graduation, he worked at a listed FinTech, where he helped to successfully establish the venture debt division.
Mr. Kunert has been part of the Corporate Markets team at BankM since October 2023. In addition, he is currently completing a Master’s degree in Corporate Performance & Restructuring at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management on a part-time basis.
Dr. Roger Becker
Corporate Research
Dr. Becker studied Biology and attained a doctorate in experimental cancer research. Already during his academic career he discovered a passion for the economic sphere of science; he completed successfully the professional exam “Certified European Financial analyst (CEFA)”, a dedicated capital market education provided by the German Association for Financial Analysis & Asset Management (DVFA).
Beyond his expertise in the Life Science sector, he oversees a broad spectrum of industries within the Small and MidCap universe.
Since October 2010, Dr. Becker is responsible for BankM’s Research department.
Daniel Großjohann
Corporate Research
After his successful studies in economics with a focus on international economic relations and business administration Mr. Großjohann worked for several years for various research providers. From early on he specialized in IT service providers, software manufacturers and companies with web-based business models.
In the course of his previous jobs and since 2007, Mr. Großjohann has been in charge of several research mandates for BankM. In April 2015 he joined the team of BankM as a freelancer and supports the department of Corporate Research.
Birgitta Jung
Corporate Services
Birgitta Jung was educated as a commercial clerk. During her career, Ms. Jung appropriated extensive professional experience in all areas of the back office, such as reception, organization, administration and accounting.
Before joining BankM, Ms. Jung worked many years in an executive position in the reception office of a large engineering company.
Birgitta Jung joined BankM in May 2011.
